Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CA ANZ) Council has appointed Perth-based Peter Rupp as its president for 2020, succeeding Stephen Walker who will step down at the end of the year.
The Council also appointed Peter O’Regan as vice president for Australia and rea-elected Nives Botica Redmayne as vice president for New Zealand. The positions will commence 1 January 2020 and will conclude at the end of the year.
An audit partner at Deloitte, Rupp has worked in the accounting profession for more than 25 years, with time spent at Deloitte’s in the UK, New Zealand and Australia. Prior to being elected president, he served as CA ANZ vice president for two years.
O'Regan has over 25 years' experience in advising businesses on accounting and taxation strategies, business growth and succession, finance and restructuring.
He was previously chair of CA ANZ's Queensland Regional Council and presently serves as a director of a Western Queensland public company and is a member of a number of audit committees for local governments in Queensland.
