By Joe Pickard

Three members have been appointed to the International Accounting Standards Board's (IASB) Capital Markets Advisory Committee (CMAC): Oliver Gottlieb, Matthias Meitner and Larissa van Deventer.

The CMAC is an independent advisory board which was established to provide the IASB with input from an international community of users of financial statements.

Gottlieb is a senior analyst at HSBC global Asset Management, Meitner is the managing partner of Valuesque, a consultancy firm that focuses on business valuations and financial analysis, and van Deventer is a sell-side equity research analyst at Barclays, covering the European insurance sector.

All three appointments are effective as of 1 January 2021 for a three-year period, renewable for a second three-year period.
