The Association of International Accountants’
(AIA) has had its application to the Qualifications and Credit
Framework (QCF) approved.
The recognition application was approved by
qualifications regulator Ofqual’s Regulators’ Recognition and
Accreditation Group (RRAG) and is the second and final phase of
AIA’s application to operate within the framework.
The QCF is the framework for creating and
accrediting qualifications in England, Wales and Northern Ireland
and sets out the levels against which a qualification can be
recognised.
“It is important that a nationally
recognised framework exists for qualifications and awarding bodies
are assessed independently against a standardised criteria”, AIA
President Andrew Lamb said.
