The US Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) has appointed five new members to its Public Markets Advisory Committee (PMAC).
The PMAC operates in an advisory role to the FASB and its staff. It offers feedback on the views of public companies, with a particular focus on smaller listed businesses and organisations that are preparing to enter, or have recently entered, the public markets.

The new appointees at the PMAC are Brad Broberg, Pieter Combrink, Mary Hill, Niall O’Malley and Abhay Srivastava.
Broberg is a partner, professional practice office-service line director at RSM US, while Combrink is a shareholder at CBIZ CPAs.
Hill is an associate professor of accounting at the School of Accountancy at Kennesaw State University.
O’Malley is a portfolio manager at Blue Point Investment Management, while Srivastava is the founder and managing member at AS Investment Partners.
FASB chair Richard Jones said: “I am pleased to welcome Brad Broberg, Pieter Combrink, Mary Hill, Niall O’Malley and Abhay Srivastava to the PMAC.
“Their diverse backgrounds in investment, accounting and academia will enhance our discussions with the PMAC on standard-setting issues that affect smaller public companies entering or operating in the markets.”
The FASB plans to hold its next PMAC meeting on 14 May.
In March this year, the FASB added four members to its Investor Advisory Committee.
The new appointees were Rhett Brown of Lazard Asset Management, Larry Lee of JP Morgan Asset Management, Allen Puwalski of Cybiont Capital and Kate Konetzke of Morgan Stanley.
