Instruction will be provided in both English and French to accommodate candidates nationwide.

Pearson Canada head Jessica Biga-Wadstein said: “Canada’s economy needs financial professionals with the knowledge and skills to navigate a rapidly changing world.

“Supporting financial services education with flexible, effective learning experiences built on trusted expertise is one way Pearson can help meet that need.

“Working with CPA Canada brings our complementary strengths together to help prepare the next generation of accounting professionals for success.”

The agreement builds on Pearson’s existing accounting portfolio as it supplies coursework to undergraduate educators, and students.

Through the partnership, the two bodies aim to increase access to training resources across various stages of academic study and professional practice.

CPA Canada chief financial and professional excellence officer Sylvie Monette said: “Today’s learners expect flexible, intuitive and engaging ways to build their knowledge.

“As the national organisation representing Canadian CPAs, we are committed to supporting the next generation of accountants with the tools and resources they need to succeed.

“Working with Pearson allows us to bring CPA Canada’s trusted educational content into a modern digital environment, with enhanced functionality such as AI-enabled tutoring, while supporting the transition to the new CPA professional programme.”
