The International Accounting Education
Standards Board has proposed a revision of the education and
continuing professional development (CPD) standards for
accountants.
The exposure draft, which relates to
International Education Standard (IES) 7, requires member
bodies to promote life long learning, mandatory access to CPD for
members and establishing ways to measure CPD of members.

The exposure draft is open for comment until 8
March 2011. The amended IES 7 will be effective for implementation
for periods beginning on or after 31 January 2013.
