been elected president of the Association of Chartered Certified
Accountants (ACCA).

Westcott was vice-president of the
ACCA for the past year and succeeds Mark Gold, whose term has come
to an end.

Westcott works as finance director at
Hinchingbrooke Hospital in Cambridgeshire, UK.

He previously served as chairman for ACCA’s
health network panel, which represents more than 3,000 UK
healthcare workers.

Westcott has also worked as chairman for
ACCA’s audit and finance committees and has been ACCA’s
international public sector technical committee chairman.

According to ACCA, Westcott was instrumental
in the creation of ACCA’s UK health manifesto, Accounting for
the Nation’s Health.
This manifesto was supported by the UK
Department of Health and was launched in Parliament in December
2006.
