CPA Australia has elected Warren McRae as its new president and chair of the board, alongside Louise Cox and Julie Crisp as deputy presidents.
McRae will take over from Dale Pinto, who has completed a three-year term as president and chair. Pinto will remain on the board as a director until 30 September 2027, when he will complete the maximum nine-year term.

For the past four years, McRae has served as deputy president and chair of CPA Australia’s Audit, Risk and Compliance Committee.
Cox has held the role of deputy president for the past three years, while Crisp has served as a director since 2024.
The appointments of McRae, Cox and Crisp will each run for 12 months from 1 October 2026.
CPA Australia has also confirmed the reappointment of two directors and appointed two new board members.
Sarah Adam-Gedge and Anthony Wright will continue as non-member directors, while Mark Brimble and Erica Haddon have been elected as new members of the board.
Each of these appointments will run for three years from 1 October 2026.
The selections were made by the Appointments Council, which comprises members of CPA Australia’s Divisional Councils.
McRae said: “It is a tremendous honour to be elected president and chair of CPA Australia and to serve our community of more than 176,000 members around the world.
“I congratulate Louise Cox and Julie Crisp on their election as deputy presidents for the coming year, and I thank our immediate past president, Dale Pinto, for his strong leadership over the past three years. I am also pleased that Dale will continue to serve on the board for another year.
“I also warmly congratulate Anthony Wright and Sarah Adam-Gedge on their reappointment for a further three-year term, and welcome Professor Mark Brimble and Erica Haddon to the board as directors.”
