The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) launched two specialised certificate programmes aimed at senior finance professionals working in International Financial Services Centres (IFSCs), MediaInfoline has reported.

Launched through ICAI’s Financial Markets and Investors’ Awareness Committee, the courses are intended to strengthen the capabilities of key managerial personnel (KMPs) and support adherence to regulatory requirements in the IFSC ecosystem.

The two programmes – Certificate Course on Regulatory Framework for Fund Management in IFSC and Certificate Course on Regulatory Framework for Capital Market Intermediaries and Listing Requirements of IFSCA – were recently rolled out at Gift City in Gandhinagar, Gujarat.

The fund management course has been recognised as an eligible certificate programme under the International Financial Services Centres Authority (Fund Management) Regulations, 2025.

It is specified for KMPs of fund management entities operating in IFSC.

The second course, focused on capital market intermediaries and listing requirements, has been acknowledged as an eligible certificate course under the International Financial Services Centres Authority (Capital Market Intermediaries) Regulations, 2025. It is designated for KMPs of capital market intermediaries in IFSC.

Both offerings are structured to provide targeted knowledge of the regulatory framework that applies to fund management and capital market intermediaries in IFSCs, with the objective of reinforcing compliance, governance and professional standards.

ICAI president Prasanna Kumar was quoted by MediaInfoline as saying: “The recognition of these specialised Certificate Courses by IFSCA is a significant step towards strengthening professional capabilities and fostering a culture of regulatory excellence within India’s International Financial Services Centres.
