The Hong Kong SAR Government has renewed the appointments of 12 members of the Accounting and Financial Reporting Council (AFRC) Advisory Committee (ADC).
The reappointed members will serve a further two-year term from 1 August 2026 to 31 July 2028.

The ADC includes practitioners, service users and other stakeholders from across the accounting profession.
It provides a range of expertise to support the AFRC’s work, particularly in areas aligned with its current regulatory agenda.
The committee’s role is to advise the AFRC on policy issues related to its statutory objectives and functions.
A spokesman for the Financial Services and the Treasury Bureau said: “The Advisory Committee has been rendering constructive advice on the regulatory objectives and policies of the AFRC.
“We would like to express our gratitude to the reappointed members of the Advisory Committee for their valuable contributions during the previous terms and are confident that they will continue to serve as a conduit between the AFRC and the sector, thereby assisting the AFRC in discharging its important function of promoting and supporting the development of the profession.”
The government noted that the reappointments were made under the Accounting and Financial Reporting Council Ordinance (Cap. 588).
The reappointed ADC members are Clement Chan Kam-wing, Doris Lian Shaodong, Edward Lau Fu-keung, Elizabeth Law, Ivy Cheung Wing-han, Patrick Law Fu-yuen and Stephen Fung Sing-hong.
Other reappointed members of the ADC are Webster Ng Kam-wah, Christopher To Wing, Flora Wang Fang, Edmund Wong Chun-sek and Daisy Yeung.
AFRC chairman David Sun said: “We are pleased to see the reappointment of our Advisory Committee members and look forward to working closely with them for another term of office.
“I would also like to express my sincere appreciation to the members for their commitment and contributions to the AFRC’s work.
“Their continued support and expert guidance will be instrumental as the AFRC advances its regulatory priorities, promotes audit quality and upholds the integrity of Hong Kong’s financial reporting ecosystem.”
