The list also includes AngelList chief legal officer and head of asset management Erik Syvertsen.

These new appointees will serve four-year terms and will join 15 existing commission-appointed members.

In addition, the committee includes three non-voting participants designated by the SEC’s Investor Advocate, the North American Securities Administrators Association, and the Small Business Administration, as well as an observer from the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority.

The group advises the SEC on policy, rulemaking and regulatory issues affecting small businesses, from early stage private operators to smaller public companies.

SEC chairman Paul Atkins said: “I thank the new members for their willingness to serve on the advisory committee, which plays an important role in advising the Commission in our work to facilitate capital formation for entrepreneurs across the country.

“I am grateful that the SEC will benefit from these new members’ collective experiences and look forward to continuing to work with current members to improve pathways and access to capital for small businesses in the private and public markets.”

The SEC recently appointed four new members to its Investor Advisory Committee, filling vacant positions on the advisory panel. They joined nine existing members, bringing the total membership to 13.
