The University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) College of Business, in partnership with the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW), has introduced a new training film entitled Without Question.  

The film, the second in a series produced by ICAEW, aims to facilitate discussions on professional ethics and decision-making in business. 

The training session, co-hosted by both institutions, was attended by UEH College of Business School of Accounting vice-head Nguyen Phuoc Bao An, and several faculty members.  

Representing ICAEW was Vietnam senior education specialist Tran Pham.  

The film presents real-life scenarios that challenge learners to navigate ethical dilemmas and make tough decisions in various business contexts. 

Since 2020, ICAEW has been in a partnership with UEH, initially donating the rights to its first training film, False Assurance.  

Continuing this sustainable collaboration, ICAEW Vietnam has now donated Without Question to further support UEH’s educational efforts. 

The programme has provided UEH lecturers with insights and enhanced their ability to apply innovative teaching methods in the classroom.  

By using scenarios from the film, instructors are able to bridge the gap between theory and practice, fostering creative thinking and critical skills among students. 

The training is said to have proven beneficial across various fields including asset valuation, auditing, corporate governance, information security, information systems, taxation and tax consulting.  

The interactive group activities fostered a dynamic learning environment, promoting the exchange of ideas and sharing of practical experiences, which contributed to the success of the training session. 

The College of Business at UEH intends to continue these initiatives, providing faculty with opportunities to expand their knowledge, diversify teaching methods, and more. 

This comes after ICAEW appointed Will Holt as its new managing director of education and training in July.
