The UKEB has published its 2024/25 (Draft) Regulatory Strategy for consultation. The UKEB is focused on influencing the development of high-quality international accounting standards that endorse the UK public good by ensuring transparency and comparability of financial information thereby sustaining confidence in the UK’s capital markets.
The UKEB has noted that it aims, at all times, to obtain maximum value from its available resources and, to that end, the expected workplan for financial year 2024/25 will focus on those aspects of the IASB agenda that are of highest priority to UK stakeholders.
Commenting on this, UKEB chair, Pauline Wallace, said: “2023/24 is proving to be another successful year for UKEB, and one in which we have firmly established our influence on the international stage. Our expected workplan for 2024/25 indicates that we have another busy year ahead which will require careful consideration of resource prioritisation.
“We look forward to receiving feedback, on our proposed workplan, during the consultation period and I would encourage stakeholders to share their views with us.”
