Aiko Sekine, a partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers Aarata in Japan, was appointed chairman and president of the Japanese Institute of Certified Public Accountants, effective 25 July 2016.
Previously, Sekine, who is the first female to hold the position, served as deputy president. Her mandate as president will run until 2019.
