The Public Company Accounting Oversight Board
(PCAOB) plans to discuss the possibility of adopting an auditing
standard on communications with audit committees in a meeting next
week.
The standard, Communications with Audit
Committees, was initially proposed in March 2010 and after comments
received in comment letters and at a roundtable in September 2010
it was eventually re-proposed in December last year.
The meeting will take place on 15 August and
is open to the public as well as via weblink.
