The Chartered Institute of Public Finance and
Accountancy (CIPFA) has updated the syllabus of its professional
accountancy qualification.
From 2012, greater prominence will be given to
leadership and innovation training. The new syllabus will also
focus on commercial skills, including performance management, value
for money and procurement.
The aim of the CIPFA professional
qualification, according to the institute, is to give students an
understanding of the complexities of the public sector and the
necessary skills to succeed in it.
