The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) has entered into a partnership with Babu Banarasi Das University (BBDU) of Lucknow, North India, to offer a management level course as part of the University’s three year Bachelor of Business Management (BBM) professional program.
BBDU’s three-year BBM program will begin from August and will cover the first three levels of CIMA professional qualification, the accounting body said.

CIMA chief representative in India Arati Porwal said the program will help students develop "analytical, application oriented, decision making skills, rather than just theoretical knowledge of accounting" and added the partnership is an important milestone for CIMA and management accounting in India.
