American Institute of Certified Public
Accountants (AICPA) members have unanimously voted in favour of
modernising their admission requirements.
The recent bylaw amendment, which received 81%
support, proposed that individuals may join the AICPA as voting
members if they hold or meet the requirements for a CPA
certificate.
The AICPA will take applications for those
eligible under the new provision in December.
