
The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has announced the results of the CA Final, Intermediate, and Foundation Examinations held in May 2025.
Nearly 100,000 aspirants appeared for the exams, which were conducted across multiple centres nationwide, as per the release by ICAI.
Mumbai’s Rajan Kabra achieved the top rank in the CA Final exam with an 86% score, totalling 516 out of 600.
Following closely were Nishtha Bothra and Manav Rakesh Shah, securing the second and third spots, with 83.83% and 82.17%, respectively.
The ICAI reported that 99,466 candidates were admitted for the Final examination, with tests administered across 564 centres.
ICAI president Charanjot Singh Nanda said: “I congratulate all successful candidates for their hard work and perseverance. As you now step into the professional world, I urge you to uphold the highest ethical standards, inspire trust through your actions and make your family, profession and nation proud. I am confident that your integrity and commitment will play a meaningful role in shaping a robust, transparent and prosperous Viksit Bharat. For those who could not make it this time, remember that resilience and continued effort are the true hallmarks of a Chartered Accountant.”

By GlobalDataIn the Intermediate category, Disha Ashish Gokhru from Mumbai secured the All India Rank 1 with an 85.50% score, achieving 513 out of 600 marks.
Devidan Yash Sandeep from Aurangabad scored the second rank with 83.83% while Yamish Jain and Nilay Dangi shared the third place, each with an 83.67%.
The Intermediate exam saw 1,69,172 candidates with exams held across the same number of centres as the Final exam.
For the Foundation Examination, Ghaziabad’s Vrinda Agarwal clinched the top rank with a 90.5% score, securing 362 out of 400 marks.
Yadnesh Rajesh Narkar from Mumbai and Shardul Shekhar Vichare from Thane earned the second and third ranks, with 89.75% and 89.5%, respectively.
In total, 96,538 candidates were admitted for the Foundation exam, which took place across 551 centres.
The statement from ICAI also detailed the pass percentages for both the Final and Intermediate exams.
For the CA Final, Group 1 had a pass percentage of 22.38%, while Group 2 had a slightly higher pass rate of 26.43%. The CA Intermediate exam saw pass percentages of 14.67% for Group 1 and 21.51% for Group 2.
Earlier in July 2025, the ICAI sought public comments on proposed amendments to Regulation 204 of the Chartered Accountants Regulations, 1988, indicating ongoing efforts to refine the accountancy profession’s regulatory framework.
