The hub consolidates a wide range of ESRS-related materials in a single environment. Users can access the adopted 2023 ESRS, the simplified ESRS endorsed by the EFRAG Sustainability Reporting Board (SRB) in November 2025, the VSME standard, implementation guidance along with supporting materials.

EFRAG has indicated that similar interactive access will be provided for the simplified ESRS once it receives approval from the European Commission.

It offers links to relevant European Union (EU) legislation and global standards and provides updates on standard-setting discussions from EFRAG SRB and EFRAG Sustainability Reporting Technical Expert Group meetings.

Historical documents and external references are also included to support continuity and provide context.

EFRAG noted that the ESRS Knowledge Hub serves as a central point for accessing sustainability reporting resources. The intention is to support consistent application and enhance the transparency and usability of ESRS materials.

EFRAG Sustainability Reporting Board chair Patrick de Cambourg said: “The launch of the ESRS Knowledge Hub represents a significant milestone in the accessibility and coherence of the sustainability reporting landscape.

“EFRAG is proud to contribute to the strengthening of this ecosystem by providing a comprehensive, reliable and user-oriented platform that supports consistent implementation of the ESRS and enhances transparency for all stakeholders.”

In October 2025, EFRAG expanded the VSME Digital Template and XBRL Taxonomy by adding a translation tool for multiple European languages. The new feature enables users to create Inline XBRL reports in Spanish, Polish, Lithuanian, and Portuguese, alongside English.
