The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) Ghana has inducted 100 new members into the accounting profession.
Industry leaders, established professionals, and emerging talents gathered at the New Members Induction and Awards Ceremony, held at the Labadi Beach.
The event was held under the theme ‘Accounting for the Future.’
In his opening address, ACCA Ghana Network Panel chairperson Carl Doe Del-Alorse spoke about the changes reshaping the finance industry.
He said: “Today’s inductees are entering the profession at a time of unprecedented change and opportunity. The convergence of traditional accounting practices with emerging technologies presents both challenges and possibilities that will define the future of finance.
Guest speaker Audrey Grey managing partner Audrey Naa Dei Kotey said: “We are witnessing a fundamental transformation in how financial services are delivered and consumed. Artificial intelligence, automation, and advanced data analytics are not just buzzwords – they are essential tools that will enable accountants to provide deeper insights and more value to their organisations.”

In addition, ACCA Ghana unveiled plans to enhance its professional development programmes.
It will focus on equipping members with digital skills and expertise in sustainable finance practices.
The initiatives are designed to ensure that members remain at the forefront of industry developments, particularly in response to market shifts and technological advancements.
This development comes shortly after the announcement of ACCA’s support for the UK government’s proposals to overhaul the audit system for local authorities, which includes the creation of a single, independent body to oversee audits.
