The agreement includes plans for conferences, joint webinars and events, aimed at sharing best practices in teaching, research and curriculum development.

The ACCA and EAA also aim to develop strategies that highlight the critical role of the accounting profession in the current economic landscape.

ACCA Europe head Caitriona Allis said: “Europe is facing a critical shortage of qualified accountants, and universities are on the front line of the solution. This partnership with EAA is about working with educators to develop the tools, insights, and global perspectives to prepare students for the future of finance.

“By working together, we can make accounting education more dynamic, more connected to industry, and more attractive to the next generation.”

Recently, ACCA advocated for the simplification of regulatory processes for small and medium-sized enterprises within the European Union.
