The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and the Association of Certified Financial Professionals of Uzbekistan (ACFP) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Uzbekistan ministry to drive finance skills in the country.
The cooperation will span five years from March 2026 and is intended to underpin the long-term development of the accountancy and audit professions in Uzbekistan.

Uzbekistan Employment and Poverty Reduction Deputy Minister Alisher Akmalovich Muratov said: “The MoU will support training local specialists in accordance with international accounting education standards at practical knowledge and practical skills level.
‘The voucher scheme is aimed at providing a three-level qualification programme for finance and economic professionals based on international accounting education standards.”
It will focus on national upskilling and the professional growth of accountants, aligning with the ministry’s wider mandate to support the government’s economic reform programme.
Under the MoU, the parties will collaborate on research, both by launching joint projects and by sharing existing studies and insights.
A central feature of the deal is a voucher mechanism, designed as a tool to boost employment by widening access to structured training for finance and economics professionals.
ACCA EEMA director Magda Krupa-Hernandez said: “ACCA is pleased to be working with the Ministry and ACFP.
“Through this initiative, ACCA will contribute to strengthening professional learning pathways and developing finance and accounting skills aligned with international standards.
“We also look forward to exploring opportunities to train the local tutors and with support of ACCA partners.”
