Russian consultancy Da Strategy calls for a new ‘integrated’ form of reporting in the country.
Da Strategy’s project manager Sergey Golovachev, who was speaking at the Russian launch of the International Integrated Reporting Council’s (IIRC) Framework consultation, said despite Russia’s complicated reporting landscape; the country is in need of a more ‘integrated’ form of reporting.
"We see some Russian best practice corporate reports already qualify for certain <IR> Framework Guiding Principles and Content
Elements," Golovachev says.
At the meeting, in which stakeholders from the Russian business, investor, academic and professional accounting sector met in Moscow to discuss the framework, IIRC chief executive Paul Druckman called Russia a "key market for the IIRC" and expressed his hope for integrated reporting to take "root" in the country.
IIRC relationship director for Russia Henning Drager said "for IR to succeed we need to bring together many global, diverse stakeholders groups united in the belief that better corporate reporting is a material contribution to a more sustainable world".
