Held under the theme ‘ICAI Global Orbit: From GCCs to Global Leadership’, the event was positioned as a strategic platform to enable dialogue, promote innovation and derive practical takeaways for the advancement of India’s GCC ecosystem.
ICAI president Prasanna Kumar D said: “India is uniquely placed to become a global hub for Global Capability Centres and chartered accountants have that expertise and professional strength to lead and drive GCCs globally, contributing to India’s journey towards Viksit Bharat 2047.”
Industry leaders and subject experts at the summit shared perspectives and strategies on a wide set of themes.
These included accounting and compliance; AI and automation; cybersecurity; data privacy; environmental, social and governance and sustainability; ethics and governance; and finance innovation.
They also addressed GCC setup and strategy, global taxation, human resources and workforce, marketing strategy, process transformation and talent development.
Speakers also offered inputs on new technologies, regulatory changes, future skill sets and business transformation, with the objective of sharpening India’s competitiveness as a destination for high-value global services.
The ICAI described the Global Summit 2026 as the starting point of a nationwide series that will bring together policymakers, global corporations, industry leaders, academia and finance professionals to discuss emerging opportunities, policy shifts, technological developments and the evolving landscape of GCCs.
Subsequent editions are set to be held in Ahmedabad (24 July), Bengaluru (23–24 October), Chennai (January 2027), Hyderabad (13–14 November), Mumbai (16–17 October) and Pune (21–22 November).
