ACCA chief executive Helen Brand said: “It’s been great to see so many members of both our professional bodies coming together to share their experiences and insights.

“Our partnership also gives us an amplified voice which helps us influence the big issues impacting the profession and the wider world, such as sustainability reporting and technology. I’m delighted that we’ll be continuing to collaborate.”

Recent research projects carried out under the alliance have examined topics such as how finance teams in businesses may evolve, the growing role of sustainability assurance, and how technology is being applied in audit processes.

Event programmes have covered themes including entrepreneurial activity and digital transformation in smaller businesses.

Shared learning options developed through the alliance range from courses on data-related skills to content on ethics, sustainability and leadership.

In addition, the agreement enables eligible ACCA and CA ANZ members to apply for membership of the partner body.

CA ANZ CEO Ainslie van Onselen commented: “For nearly 10 years, our alliance has produced valuable joint research reports and learning resources for our members and other key stakeholders.

“As accountants and finance professionals take increasingly important roles addressing contemporary challenges and opportunities like AI adoption and a sustainable planet, it’s been mutually beneficial to share our experiences and perspectives to create impactful resources. I’m looking forward to what’s possible as we extend our relationship for a further five years.”
