new editor of The Accountant, following an extensive
search to find a successor to Carolyn Canham.

Ibrahim takes over at one of
the most interesting times in the history of the profession, as
serious questions are being raised about the value of audit and the
future direction of global accounting standards.

London-based, Ibrahim has a
broad career in the media for regional and national press. She
recently was deputy editor of a portfolio of technology based
business-to-business websites and has previously worked for The
Sunday Telegraph
.

The Accountant remains at the forefront of covering the
radical reforms taking place across the profession,” Ibrahim
said.

Canham, editor of The
Accountant
for two years, stepped down from the role in
September to pursue a position as an Australian Youth Ambassador in
Thailand.
