The Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy (CIPFA) has announced it will start delivering accountancy and finance apprenticeships in the autumn of this year, after having been approved earlier this week on the Education and Skills Funding Agency’s (ESFA) Registered of Apprenticeship Training Providers.

CIPFA director of learning delivery and partnership Giles Orr said: “Right across the public sector we are seeing tremendous changes in the way services are delivered and in order to meet these challenges it is vital that the right people, with the right skills, are in place – particularly when it comes to managing finances.”

CIPFA will host an open day on 15 June to introduce its apprenticeships offer.
