Terence Nombembe has been appointed chief executive officer of the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA), effective 15 January 2014.
Nombembe is South Africa’s outgoing auditor-general, a role he has held for seven years.

During this period he also held the role of chairman of the International Organisation of Supreme Audit Institutions.
Nombembe will replace Matsobane Matlwa, who will leave SAICA to pursue personal business interests.
