Bob Dohrer has been appointed to serve as a member of the International Auditing and Assurance Standards Board (IAASB) for a three-year term.

Dohrer is RSM global leader for quality and risk and joined from the Forum of Firms, an organisation he chaired since 2010.

"The IAASB plays a vital role in enhancing trust and transparency in the global accounting environment and I look forward to contributing to its work," Dohrer said.

The IAASB has eighteen members and its chairman, Arnold Schilder, received the International Accounting Bulletin Lifetime Achievement Award last week in London.
