The European Financial Reporting Advisory Group (EFRAG) has appointed Filippo Poli as research director, effective August 2014.

Filippo Poli joined EFRAG in 2009. He was promoted to senior technical manager in January 2012 and deputy research director in January 2013.
"Filippo’s appointment as research director reflects that EFRAG as an organisation has grown the ability of opening up career development paths for its talented and dedicated staff," EFRAG chairman Françoise Flores said.
Poli succeeds Hans Schoen who acted as director of research until end of July 2014, covering the EFRAG reform and transition period. Schoen commented:
"I am fully confident that Filippo is able to maintain the cooperative spirit in which EFRAG and its partners have worked together in the proactive arena for the last few years."
