PCAOB to consider adopting standard on auditor report

The Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB) has announced it will be holding a public meeting on 1 June 2017 to consider the adoption of new standard that would provide additional information in the auditor’s report.

During the meeting the board will also consider proposing amendments to standards in order to strengthen and enhance requirements for audit accounting estimates. The meeting is open to the public and will be streamed live on the PCAOB website.
