News briefs, sustainability: Natural Capital Coalition, GRI and UNCTAD

Natural Capital Coalition launches toolkit for natural capital valuation

The Natural Capital Coalition in partnership with the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD)  have launched an interactive database to help businesses find the right tools to measure and value capital.

The toolkit puts all existing tools in the context of the Natural Capital Protocol to help businesses understand which tools to use, for what and when. The Toolkit was released earlier this week and is out for consultation until the end of April.

GRI and UNCTAD reaffirm their common interests

GRI chief executive, Tim Mohin, and United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) have signed an Exchange of letters following on a 2008 Memorandum of Understanding. This reaffirms their collaboration and aims to establish a strategic partnership on responsible investment.
