GRI standards gaining traction in their first year

by Federica Tedeschi

Celebrating the one year anniversary of its standards, GRI has looked back with satisfaction at its roll out initiative, with 150 organisations globally joining the standards pioneers program.

The standards were launched in October 2016 to replace the GRI G4 Guidelines by 30 June 2018.

GRI has said that in the past it has hosted 28 launch events in 25 countries with 3,400 participants worldwide.  On top of the 150 organisations which have joined the pioneers program, a scheme to help them produce their first GRI report, GRI has reported that it currently has 270 sustainability reports based on its standards registered in its database.
