The European Financial Reporting Advisory Group (EFRAG) General Assembly has appointed the new EFRAG board members, who will commence their term on 1 November 2017.
EFRAG board president Jean-Paul Gauzes stated: “I would like to especially welcome the three new members appointed to the EFRAG board: Enrique Ortega, Rosa Bruguera and Luca Cencioni. Together, they will bring a wealth of experience to EFRAG, as we do our job influencing the IASB, improving IFRS and providing endorsement advice to the European Commission.”
Along with the newly appointed members, two of whom are linked to the Big Four, Gauzes has also welcomed the reappointment of EFRAG board vice-president Andreas Barckow.
In addition an observer seat has been created to represent the European private investor organisations and will be filled by Jean Medernach.
