COVID-19: Learn. Prepare. Plan.

CEO Stephen Heathcote informs the market on how PrimeGlobal is assisting members in the face of Covid-19 crises

PrimeGlobal continues to monitor and assess new developments pertaining to the Novel Coronavirus. Keeping our members up to date on the latest information and approach to help reduce risk is a priority. In terms of our own activities, we are assessing risks and mitigation regarding planning of all future meetings and events and will continue to monitor the situation by keeping abreast of new developments and seeking guidance from industry leaders. We have decided to cancel our World Conference, which was scheduled to take place in Shanghai in November 2021. We have also decided to postpone a number of our other events. We will continue to follow guidance of the World Health Organisation and are in close communication with meeting partners and member firms in locations where we have scheduled events. We are also in constant contact with leaders from other associations and networks, as we are trying to share knowledge from our member firms and also learn from what others are doing.

We are currently focusing on helping member firms communicate and share best practices for managing the impacts of COVID-19 on businesses around the globe. We have created a member-only website page where members can exchange information and best practice, and learn about strategies for dealing with the pandemic. We have organised a number of complimentary webinars in collaboration with our virtual learning- partner Business Learning Institute, to enable firms to identify critical effects of the pandemic on their businesses and help put together processes to create an effective response.

We are also sharing thought leadership articles on the topic, and have initiated a Peer Request system for members to submit input and share knowledge and experience on how they are responding to the pandemic and how the virus is changing dynamics, projects, and results at their firms. We are gathering and sharing information about how firms are developing crisis/response plans, introducing new ways of working or are advising clients in this area.

In situations like this, we’ve learned it is okay to over communicate. We’ve found that our members appreciate that we take our duty of care responsibility seriously. Enabling our firms and the whole profession to respond effectively will benefit all of us, and we appreciate everyone’s input and information they’ve shared. To share your crisis strategies and responses with us please contact us on info@primeglobal.net.
